Due to its natural resources, residents of Bibinje have always been dealing with agriculture and cattle breeding and later with fishing. Thanks to the favourable Mediterranean climate, indented coastline and other natural beauties, the tourism development began.
The first signs of dealing with tourism bind to the second half of the 20th century. The very first guests, scouts from Kostajnica and the guests from Macedonia later, come to Bibinje in 1950. They were housed in tents and fed themselves alone.
Bibinje gets its first public beach in 1968 when 2,717 sqm of land of Mr. Šime Mikulić along Punta Rožica is being purchased, while in the late ’60s, the first campsites appear to the courts by the sea.
In the bay between Bibinje and Sukošan (1978 – 1989) begins the construction of marine Zlatna Luka (Marina Dalmatia), one of the largest nautical centres in the Adriatic today.
In 1982, the Tourist Association Galeb issues the first tourist prospect, and in 1984/1985, a building for the work of tourist office is being built nearby the school by the means of local communities, Tourist Association Galeb and Primary School Bibinje.

Bibinje is a picturesque Mediterranean settlement today which stretches four kilometres of the Adriatic coast with about 4,000 inhabitants. Accommodation is available in more than 1,000 registered rooms and apartments with 4000 beds, as well as in one of 10 well-equipped camps. The largest marina on the Adriatic coast offers 1,200 dry berths and 500 berths in the sea. From the walkway Taline to the square of Sri selo are placed restaurants, taverns and small bars and the summer is full of events, folklore evenings, festivities and concerts. The beaches turned to Zadar islands, covered with smooth pebbles draw you into its warmth until you don’t pair up with the sea – Punta Rožica, Punta, Škaljica, Šulterova vala and Lipauska.
